The EDI Steering Group consists of the EDI team and members of the UCG leadership team. The EDI Steering Group meets every two months to discuss updates to the Equality and Diversity Policy and the EDI Action Plan, upcoming events and trainings, and student and staff concerns.
The role of 'Equality Champions' within the College is to develop a two-way communication channel between staff and students who have a particular interest in and commitment to equality and are dedicated to resolving equality issues and concerns, especially as they relate to the United Colleges Group. If you are interested in becoming an Equality Champion please reach out to the EDI team at equality@ucg.ac.uk.
The Student Councils elect an EDI student representative to raise student concerns and work with the EDI staff to share student feedback and develop EDI initiatives on campus.
