CWC's e-learning manager has made the EdTech 50 list

Esam Baboukhan, our e-learning manager at CWC has been recognized as one of the UK’s  EdTech  stars. Esam has made the  EdTech 50 list, a prestigious and much coveted list of a who’s who in the  EdTech. The " EdTech  50" list shines a spotlight on the people, projects and products that are enhancing teaching and learning in our schools. The  EdTech 50 list, published by  EdTech UK, celebrates the thinkers who have helped to shape the dynamic education technology sector in the past year. The  EdTech 50 attracts 100’s of nominations and in some of the comments made by the judges, Vikki Liogier commented: “he’s a leading EdTech professional in the UK”…. and his use of  EdTech promoted “better learners’ engagement and ownership.”
  
Esam was also nominated Pearson’s Digital Innovator of the Year (Silver) in 2019 and was described as an inspirational advocate of innovation in teaching that has become an influencer, and a nationally-recognised leader in technology for education.
 
He has also worked closely with Microsoft for the last few years. His efforts has made City of Westminster College the first London Microsoft Showcase College. He has worked tirelessly to enhance Teaching and Learning, and create an inclusive and accessible learning environment through the use of technology. In one of the most inspiring and impactful stories in what is possible with EdTech, Esam transformed the life of one of his hearing-impaired learners using Microsoft Teams.
