Cllr Davis said: “I have never felt so safe on a visit before! It was great to meet the students studying to join the security industry and I was tremendously impressed with their calm yet very decisive skills. “Westminster Council now runs its employment services from the Maida Vale building and I enjoyed meeting a range of people benefiting from what is on offer there,” said Cllr Davis. “It was a pleasure to meet a range of adult students – from people brushing up their CVs to people with special needs getting some extra help to prepare them for the workplace.”
The Council’s deputy leader was shown the business development area and the sensory room, which is designed to stimulate and help college students with special needs.
Keith Cowell, Chief Executive Officer from City of Westminster College said: “The services we provide with Westminster City Council are vital to the local community and demonstrate our commitment to helping people develop their skills and employability opportunities.”
Cllr Davis is the first dignitary to visit our Maida Vale Campus which opened in
September 2017.
