Wendy Adams, who teaches the Cabin Crew course, has over 30 years flying experience and emphasises the importance of preparing for interviews once they have completed the programme. “This course gives them an advantage over other candidates applying for the same roles. They know what to expect from the training they’ll receive, they know a lot of airline jargon and we focused a lot on the recruitment process and interview techniques to help them. In fact, seven students already have interviews with major airlines because of this course.”
The Cabin Crew course consists of 6 units including aircraft safety, emergency procedures, the role of cabin crew, customer service and trolley service. While training is intensive, Wendy admits the students are often sad to leave. “The students loved the graduation ceremony – they didn’t know they would be receiving wings so that was a nice surprise for them. A lot of them were emotional when they left and they said they didn’t want the course to finish. We received some fantastic feedback and I think doing this course definitely helps those applying for Cabin Crew roles.”
