Computing and ICT

Computing and ICT is required by all businesses in today’s world. Whether it’s the ability to communicate and run administration using software, the advanced technical knowledge to design new programs, or the knowledge of how to build secure networks, ICT skills are in huge demand and the sector provides millions of job opportunities. 

Through a mix of theoretical and practical learning, our computing courses will help you to develop a solid general knowledge base across a range of computing topics preparing you for your next steps. 

We have a skilled team of lecturers, delivering teaching to the highest standards. Our teaching reflects new and innovative technologies to give every student the opportunity to become a professional in the field of ICT. 

Employability and enterprise skills are included in our courses and we work with employers to ensure that our vocational provision meets the needs of employers and changing demand.

We have award-winning staff computer department has two members of staff who have won Pearson National Teaching Awards and one is a former student. 

What’s next? 

Upon successful completion of Level 3, you can progress onto a HNC or foundation degree in computing at our sister college*, or study degree at university such as BSc Computing Science or BSc Computing and Digital Marketing. 

Career opportunities are vast and varied including games designer, computer technician, data consultant, digital marketing officer, IT analyst, mobile app developer, network engineer, software developer, solutions engineer, systems analyst, technical support officer, web designer and web developer.
