English, Maths & Functional Skills

English, Maths and Functional Skills skills will help you achieve better results in your studies and enrich your work and life in general. You will be supported to learn and develop your ability and skills.

You will acquire skills which you can apply in many aspects of your everyday life including reading for pleasure, writing emails, understanding contracts, applying for jobs, writing your CV and presenting your ideas or critical thinking.

Our GCSE English and Functional Skills courses aim to improve your writing, reading and oral communication skills. You will read a variety of fiction and non-fiction texts, developing skills in language analysis, evaluation and comparison. You will also practice writing in a range of different styles, for different audiences and purposes including creative writing and transactional writing. You will also develop your spelling, punctuation, vocabulary and grammar and work on your speaking and presentation skills.

If you decide to study our GCSE Maths course, you can expect to learn a range of skills, which will equip you for the world of work and help you in everyday life.

Do you know

A grade 4 or above in GCSE English and Maths or a pass in Functional Skills will open up opportunities for work or university.
