City of Westminster College is proud to celebrate the achievements of alumnus Jeff Geronimo, who completed his Door Supervision qualification at the college in 2022.
Following the successful completion of his course, Jeff was interviewed by high-profile employers and was offered a position with Unitrust, marking the start of his career in the security sector. Since then, he has progressed into a supervisory role, demonstrating strong professional development and commitment to the industry.
Jeff returned to City of Westminster College in October 2025 to complete his Door Supervision refresher training, where he shared news of his continued success; he had been invited in 2024 to attend the House of Lords for a celebration recognising 20 years of private security industry licensing.
Reflecting on his experience at the college in an interview published on the Security Industry Authority (SIA) website, Jeff said: “The training process was seamless. I had good instructors who were very flexible, supporting people of all learning levels. On the last day after our exams, a security company came and did a presentation. We had the opportunity to have an interview afterwards. I told them about my experiences, and they said I would be a good fit. I formally applied for a role and started with the company soon after. Getting into security has opened doors for me. I hope I will continue to take steps up the career ladder.”
Last year, Jeff was also nominated for an Outstanding Security Performance Award (OSPA), one of the most respected accolades in the UK security sector. Congratulations, Jeff!
