CWC holding Apprenticeship Recruitment Event next week

Next week, City of Westminster College will be holding an Apprenticeship Recruitment Event at its Paddington Green Campus. Taking place on the 20th January from 12pm, the event is aimed at young people who will be given the opportunity to present their skills and experience face to face in order to demonstrate why they are suitable for an apprenticeship.

Ododo Ediagbonya, CWC’s Business and Employer Engagement Coordinator said, “We are now recruiting for our apprenticeships in person. In the past we have found that due to lack of employability skills, young people do not always present their skills and experience appropriately on their CV’s or when using the National Apprenticeship Service website to apply for apprenticeships. In order to combat this, and ensure that all suitable candidates are presented with a fair chance at getting the apprenticeships we have available, we are holding these recruitment sessions. They offer young people the chance to sell themselves to us in person, and demonstrate to us why they are suitable for an apprenticeship.”

“At present we have a large number of Business Administration and Customer Service Apprenticeship opportunities which need to be filled! They are in a wide variety of sectors including: IT, education, hospitality, estate management and architecture. Following the January event, these recruitment events will be held on a monthly basis.”
