What does it include?
This is a Level 3 course for those interested in Forensic Science and would like to study a Vocational based Science course. It is a very practical course requiring full attendance and punctuality. Practical work will cover a variety of Science and Forensic techniques.
The course consists of 18 Units. You work through units that will gradually grow your Extended Diploma. For this reason we have developed a semester based system. Up until January in your first year you will study for your Level 3 Certificate in Medical Science-this will become the Subsidiary Diploma by the end of your first year. By January of the second year it will become the Diploma with the full qualification being achieved by the end of Year 2.

How is the course assessed?
Each unit is assessed through a portfolio of evidence which covers a series of learning outcomes.
What do I need to get on to it?
5 Grade Cs at GCSE including Science, Maths and English Merit in BTEC First Applied Science or any other Level 2 related qualification.
Where does it lead?
To study a range of Medical careers at University.
Please note this is unlikely to include Medicine and Dentistry but will lead to other Medical care related careers such as Radiography etc.
