All students enrolling on a course are invited to become a member of the College’s Student Council, which is part of the National Union of Students (NUS). This means you have access to advice and information, discounts on travel, shopping, stationery and many other useful benefits to make living on a student budget easier for you.
Each class elects a Course Representative who receives training. The Student Council is also elected and two of its members are Student Governors on the Governing Body of the College. This is to ensure that the views and voice of students are heard by the College.
It's your Student Council - and that means you can take an active part in shaping it. We encourage students to develop clubs and societies of their particular interest, organise trips, parties and various leisure and sporting activities whilst studying at College.
City of Westminster College and its corporation firmly believe that listening to student views and involving them in assessing and shaping their own learning experience has a significant and effective impact on increasing student success. This is why we regularly seek feedback from students and act on what they tell us in order to improve the College and the learning experience.
