What is Entry to Employment?
Entry 2 Employment is a programme targeted at 16 - 18 year olds who are not currently involved in employment, education or training. It aims to help those young people gain skills in order to enter Further Education, an Apprenticeship or Employment. You will be eligible to apply for EMA (Educational Maintenance Allowance).

What does it include?
This course is aimed at students wishing to get a taster session in five of our vocational areas:
Media, Art and Design, Sports, Performing Arts and Travel and Tourism.

The Entry to Employment programme will also include:
 - Personal Development
 - Employability Skills
 - Trips/Visits
 - Work Placement
Other additional courses which may be included in the Entry to Employment programme are:
 - First Aid
 - Conflict Management

We support our students in finding a work placement in order to gain vital experience within their chosen area of interest. This will enable the student to apply their skills and knowledge developed throughout the course first hand in the industry.

You need to be between 16-18 years old. There are no official entry requirements for the course. However, all applicants have to attend an interview and take the colleges initial assessment test. The course leader will then advise you on the outcome of your application.

Where does it lead?
With our support, on successful completion of the course you have the option to look for employment or continue in Further Education and progress onto the following: Level 1 Diplomas we offer in Performing Arts, Media, Travel and Tourism or Sports. We also offer a progression route in Princes Trust and Personal Best.
