Course Entry to Employment (E2E) in Retail

This course is suitable for:
  • 16-19 year olds

What is Entry to Employment?
Entry to Employment is a programme targeted at 16-18 year olds who are not currently involved in employment, education or training. It aims to help those young people gain skills in order to enter Apprenticeships (jobs with training), Employment or Further Education. You will be eligible to apply for EMA (Educational Maintenance Allowance) in addition to a contribution towards travel.
 
Duration of Course:
Entry to Employment lasts for 22/30 weeks. The programme runs once a year.

The course aims to provide a route to progress in to any of the following options:

ØEmployment with Training
ØApprenticeships
ØFurther Education
 
What does it include?
Learners will follow a programme which leads to a BTEC Introductory Certificate in Business, Retail and Administration:

ØPersonal Effectiveness
ØCareer and Job search skills
ØIT
ØWork Placements
 
Where is it based?
This programme is based at our Maida Vale Centre, Elgin Avenue, London W9 2NR.
 
What do I need to get onto it?
You do not need any formal qualifications to enrol, however, candidates will need to be aged 16-18 (or 19 in exceptional circumstances – please ask for further details). You will be given a literacy and numeracy assessment and an interview. If you are accepted onto the programme, you will be expected to attend all classes in the timetable.
