General Open Day information

To attend our Open Days it is essential you book a ticket and register using our booking form, which can be found at the bottom of this page.
Please be aware that due to demand these will be ticket only events. The earlier you book your ticket the more likely it will be that you're able to attend the session you would like.

Our Open Days are designed to enable you to experience first-hand what it is like to study with us. During the event you can attend subject area talks, take a tour of our campus and meet with our friendly teams of staff and students.

We are situated in the heart of central London; just 5 minutes away from Edgware Road Underground Station and 10 mins from Oxford Street. You can also reach us on London Buses, numbers 6, 16, 18, 98, 332, 414 and by rail at both Paddington and Marylebone Rail Stations, which are only a short walk away.

Outline of the Day
Doors will open and check-in will begin at 3.45pm. If you are early and arrive before this time, you can grab a coffee in our onsite Costa.  

Once you have checked in at reception you will be ushered into our theatre for your booked session for half an hour. After this you can visit members of staff around our building or talk to our admissions team or tour the facilities on offer at this campus. Talks will take place every 30 minutes, the first session begins at 4pm and the last session is at 6.30pm. Last admittance into the building will be at 7pm to allow attendees enough time to see members of staff.

Please note: Under 16s are invited up to our 6.00pm sessions. Prospective students signing up to sessions after 6.00pm who are under 16 must be accompanied by a responsible adult and ideally parent/carer or guardian to attend events at City of Westminster College.

How do I register for an Open Day?

For all of our courses, please select the time that is right for you from the ticket options below. To attend our Open Day you MUST select one of these options and book a ticket.

Do I need to book a place?

Yes, we have a limited number of spaces available for each Open Day and so ALL VISITORS must pre-register and book a ticket – this includes accompanying parents/guardians and siblings. If you are attending with friends, they will not be admitted unless they have pre-registered and booked  ticket. 

Why can I only book one ticket for each session, I would like to book for my friends as well? 

Due to space limitations and Health & Safety we require each attendee to book a place. If you want to bring friends or family, they will need to book an individual place for themselves. You can also book a place for them with their email address.  

Do I need to book a place for my parent(s) or guardian(s)? 

Yes, if your parent/guardian want to accompany you to the Open Day, THEY MUST BOOK A TICKET.

Do I need to bring written confirmation of my booking with me?

Yes. You will be sent an email confirmation with your ticket that has a barcode. You will need to show this barcode when you at the check-in desk.

I want to change/cancel the session I registered for? 

On EventBrite, use the log-in details you entered when you registered for our Open Day. From there you will be able to amend your tickets and change your session or cancel your booking.

What time do I need to arrive?

For weekday Open Days, the first talk starts at 4pm and the last talk starts at 6.30pm. There are scheduled talks every half hour between 4pm and 6.30pm for all of our taught courses - please arrive at least 15 minutes before your chosen talk in order to check in. 

For Saturday Open Days, the first talk starts at 10am and the last talk starts at 12.30pm. There are scheduled talks every half hour between 10am and 12.30pm for all of our taught courses - please arrive at least 15 minutes before your chosen talk in order to check in.

How do I get to City of Westminster College?

We are easily reached by the London Underground, bus, and rail. The nearest tube and bus stop is Edgware Road and we are a five minute walk away from the station. Click here for transport information and maps.

Do you have car parking facilities?

We are unable to offer onsite parking facilities.

Do you have bicycle storage facilities?

Yes, we have a small number of covered bicycle racks located to the side of our building. Please note that bicycles are left at the individual's own risk.

Is there anywhere to get something to eat or drink?

We have our own Costa café on the ground floor of the campus which offers a small selection of snacks and drinks.

In addition there are a wide range of cafes and restaurants on the nearby Edgware Road.

Who can attend?

Prospective students can attend together with their parents or a friend or partner. However, guests may not be able to attend the specific talks due to space. We do have a cafe for guests on our ground floor, and many break out areas throughout the campus, and they can also purchase refreshments in the café area on the ground floor.

What can I expect from an Open Day?

At our Open Days, you will attend a presentation about studying with us by one of our Curriculum directors, have a chance to look around our amazing campus and great facilities, speak to staff and students and tutors from all the course areas we teach, get advice on student finance and guidance on the application process.  For Undergraduate courses, you will in addition have the opportunity to discuss your individual situation and career prospects with a team member of the course that you are interested in.

Can I visit City of Westminster College at any other time? 

Prospective students can visit our Information Centre during normal College opening hours.
