ESOL Students Organised a Fund-raising Project

For the fifth year running our ESOL students have excelled in organising a Fund-raising project.  The event was a charity dinner punctuated with amazing talent of our Young Learners Level 1 and Level 2 along with the alumni whose performances ranged from the amazing sounds of the saxophone to poems read in Spanish, Portuguese and French.

This year the focus was to promote positive attitudes to mental health and the funds were donated to Mind, a charity that provides advice and support to empower anyone experiencing a mental health problem.

Former students who also attended the event, shared their accomplishments which added to the versatility of the students’ feast.  The charity event raised a whopping £800 to MIND.  This is the fifth year in a row where our students have shown excellence in hard work and generosity raising such an impressive amount of money.

The students have worked extremely hard to make this event happen. Without excellent organisational skills and team work, this event would not turn out to be such a success, however the students gave it their all and made it an exceptional night.

Georgian Florea a student enrolled on our ESOL course said, “I really enjoyed organising and managing this year’s event and it was really nice to see people from different backgrounds and cultures come together and enjoy the evening.”

Geovanna Camargo one of our ESOL students said, “We have put a lot of hard work into this event, and we would like to thank our tutors for their support and encouragement.”
