What is a Student Ambassador?

Our role at City of Westminster College is to help the staff – in particular the Enrichment Team - at different events. We’re here, ready and willing to help out at the College whenever we’re needed.

How did you get into this role?

It was Lindon, Levi, Lennox, Nadia and Ondre who suggested it and I am really grateful for the opportunity and the support I get from them. It is a real honour for me to wear the Student Ambassador shirt and know that people are putting trust in me every time I help out.

When you’re not helping out as an Ambassador what do you do?

I’m studying an HND in Business at the College. In my free time I work a lot with my church, St Paul’s in Hammersmith, mostly with the children and young people at youth club, Sunday School and other clubs and activities. I’ve discovered through my work with the Enrichment Team at College and with my church that I love helping people so I believe that’s where my future career lies.

What’s the best thing about being at College?

Togetherness. The College accepts everyone, regardless of their age, their race and what they’ve done in the past. We all get a chance to learn and grow as individuals, together.

What tips would you pass on to anyone thinking of coming to College?

Never give up on your dream because this College can help you to make it your strongest asset in life.
