Laverne Clarke, 39 years old has been awarded a Gold Scholarship of £4,000 per year for three years. She will be reading Business Management. Laverne did not complete her secondary education so has been out of education for over 20 years. She is a single mother with 3 children. This year has been a huge learning curve for her and she has worked really hard. She is thrilled to be going to university and this scholarship will make all the difference in being able to fund the next three years.

Zulfa Ali, 23 years old was awarded a Silver scholarship of £2,000 per year for three years. She will be reading Business Management and Human Resources. Zulfa is originally from Somalia. She has no family here and has managed on her own since coming here 6 years ago. She has overcome some serious personal problems to get back into education and is determined to go on to university. This scholarship will really help make this goal a reality...
