Student talent revealed at Cockpit Theatre performances
‘you fink you know me, init’ was a physical theatre, movement and mask performance by Level 2 First Diploma students in a piece that explored our complex relationship with identity. In addition to taking on performance roles, all the students assisted with technical, production, front-of-house and arts administration – providing them with a 360-degree perspective of the operations involved in bringing a professional performance to the stage.

Chair of Governors Jude Boardman, who attended the performance says: “A really great show that was both entertaining and thought provoking.”

Killed was a drama about the nature of war and the performance, by Year 2 Level 3 students on the National Diploma in Performing Arts, recounted the traumatic events facing a young volunteer solider in the First World War. The actors were ably supported by technical, front-of-house and production crews from the College’s Year 1 programme.

Principal Keith Cowell, says: “This was a timely reminder of the impact of war on the ordinary soldier. A moving play, excellently staged and acted.”
