Principal Robin Shreeve takes up role in Australian education
Principal Robin Shreeve is leaving City of Westminster College to take up a new role in Australia. Our new Principal Keith Cowell joins the College on 26 October.

Robin’s four-and-a-half years at the helm have seen many exciting developments, both within the further education sector and for the College. He has successfully steered the exciting new campus project at Paddington Green, and under his leadership College initiatives have increased opportunities for learning and skills development – both on campus and in the workplace.

Robin’s new role is Chief Executive of Skills Australia, a federal government workforce innovation body. He will act as advisor to the Australian government on current and future workforce needs – a role that enables him to capitalise on his extensive experience of both UK and Australian education sectors.

Robin Shreeve said: “Behind this great College are great people and I would like to thank everyone for their support, dedication and hard work. I have greatly enjoyed my time working here at City of Westminster College. By your efforts – whether as teachers, managers, support staff, governors or partners – you have given many, many people new opportunities. I have also been delighted to see how even students from disadvantaged backgrounds have fulfilled their potential thanks to excellent teaching and guidance.

“The College has much to look forward to – including the new campus, the largest ever capital investment in an FE College in the UK. This is a great advantage and a huge opportunity for us and, more importantly, for our students. I have every confidence that the College’s new Principal Keith Cowell will do a great job and ensure the College continues to go from strength to strength.”

Chair of Governors Jude Boardman added: "We wish Robin well in his new role in Australia and thank him for the major impact he has had on the development of the College. As the College continues its excellent progress towards completion of its superb new campus at Paddington Green, we look forward to welcoming Keith whose skills and experience marked him out as an exemplary leader to continue this development."
