Prince's Trust Team student gives his take on issues facing job seekers
Prince’s Trust Team 10 student Ryan Seres, 20, made an appearance on national TV news after he was featured in an article in The Times (27/5/10).

Ryan sent out more than 120 CVs to prospective employers before joining the Prince’s Trust Team programme at City of Westminster College. After Ryan’s story appeared in The Times as part of a major feature on prospective welfare reform, he and his Prince’s Trust Team colleague Chase Quinn joined Huw Edwards at BBC TV Centre in a live-to-air interview for BBC News 24. The Team programme at the College also featured on Sky and ITV news broadcasts.

In his interviews Ryan explained how the current economic climate had affected him. He also expressed his belief that Team is helping him to gain skills and confidence-boosting experience that will assist him in his search for employment.

Team is a highly successful 12-week course run at the College in conjunction with The Prince’s Trust. The personal development programme builds skills and confidence through a combination of work experience, practical skills, community projects and a residential week. Students also gain a nationally recognised qualification to assist them in moving on to further study or employment.
