PRINCE'S TRUST STUDENTS RAISE FUNDS... AND HAVE FUN
Prince’s Trust Team 8 have had an action packed schedule of activities during their 12-week journey on this life-changing skills and confidence-building programme.

As well as gaining a City & Guilds Level 1qualification and experience with CVs,applications and interviews, Team 8 have raised funds for Children in Need through many community projects. These included spring-cleaning a block at the College and working on community gardens in nearby Church Street.
There’s been plenty of fun along the way.The team hosted a Festive Fun Day for families and young people and participated in money-awareness projects with the charity MyBnk. They helped make music tracks and a promotional DVD/Podcast with Defcon Music and created an internet movie on career choices with Re-Evolve. There was even a chance to experience cricket at source with a taster at Lord’s.

Another highlight was a visit to the Kings Troop, the Queen’s ceremonial Saluting Battery. Team 8 worked in the stables and saw what it was like to make horseshoes in the Regiment’s smithy.

Work experience is a key part of the programme and students had a variety of exciting opportunities, including working with the coaches at Chelsea and London Tigers and shadowing fashion and music
industry teams.
