New Campus Update
Construction is well underway at Paddington Basin, and City of Westminster College’s £102 million campus is already emerging from the ground.

It’s almost a year since the vacant Paddington Centre site was handed over for demolition. Last July the College’s chosen contractors Verry Construction were able to begin work on the cleared ground.
By November three tower cranes were in place - one at the northern end of the site, one to the south and
the third right in the middle. Work on site is progressing on schedule. With the ground floor slab
to the south end of the new building almost complete, a start has been made on internal walls and
columns.

David Pigden, Deputy Principal and College Lead on the project said: ‘We are beginning to see the first
elements of the new building rise from the ground, giving a real impression of the scale and layout of our amazing new campus. It is an exciting time for all concerned.’

The College has installed webcams on the roof of a neighbouring building. Watch the build in action by
