We are delighted to have had the support of the Ministry Of Defence and its Education Outreach programme over the last 3 years. A range of students have benefited from the programme, including trainees from ‘Entry to Employment’ courses and Business and Administration students at all levels. They have visited MOD headquarters, been briefed by Andy Gilman during his visits to the college and benefited from mock interviews which have developed their work preparation skills. Others have had the opportunity to undertake work experience, and participate in an assignment which had a ‘real life’ MOD scenario at its core.
We feel our links with the MOD have enhanced our students’ experience, enriched their studies and provided an invaluable experience of the workplace in the 21st Century. The programme also has positive benefits for the college as a whole as it provides an excellent and successful model of how we can develop strong links with employers for the benefit of the students.
