'Keep driving forward’ was the advice given by departing Principal, Paul Bellamy, when he presented Motor Vehicle students with their end of year certificates recently.
After the presentation, he told them that, just over 40 years ago, he himself was a Motor Vehicle student, serving an Apprenticeship. He subsequently, gained Mechanics and Technicians certificates before teaching part-time and following a different career in education, culminating in him being Principal of the College for the past 14 years. He retired at the end of July.
Winner, James Rajakul, aged 18 years, told him:- ‘I’ve really enjoyed my course, all the teachers have been really helpful and supportive and I’ve liked studying here. I’m going to come back next year.’
