There was a gorilla in our midst on a (thankfully) cool autumn day, as Head of School for Business & Community Studies Peter Lawrence donned the full hairy disguise to participate in the Gorilla Run, an annual charity event that highlights the plight of these engangered apes.
Peter was one of 800 runners – that’s more than the world’s total number of mountain gorillas. He said: “The route was four and-a-half miles of sheer sweaty joy, and was watched by thousands of startled and intrigued tourists.”
