Colleges Week Celebrates Skills and Opportunity
Students and staff showed off the exciting range of courses on offer at City of Westminster College
during the first ever Colleges Week.  Colleges Week, which took place during November, celebrated the role colleges play in unlocking talent and transforming the lives of learners. It was organised by the Association of Colleges, Learning and Skills Council and the Department for Innovation, Universities & Skills (DIUS).

Throughout the week, City of Westminster College publicised its role in promoting business, working with the community, developing vocational and academic skills and offering opportunities for learners with diverse backgrounds and aspirations.
The highlight of the week was our Open Day, where visitors were invited to tour the Paddington Basin
campus and see facilities such as the Learning and IT Centre and Construction Skills training facilities.
There was information about the 300+ vocational and academic courses available, and displays of the
new campus under construction at Paddington Green (see story on the right). There were also demonstrations by staff and students - including computer maintenance workshops and an in-flight safety drill by BTEC National Diploma Travel & Tourism students.
