College working with AoC London to ensure fair allocation of EMA successor
Following the Government's announcement that it is ending the Education Maintenance Allowances (EMA) scheme, which provided grants to assist students with living costs, City of Westminster College is working with AoC London and London Colleges to develop a new fair and transparent system to allocate the new guaranteed and discretionary bursaries that will be introduced.

Colleges expect to receive this funding from Government soon and will be looking to advise potential and current students as quickly as possible on what is on offer. City of Westminster College, in common with Colleges across London, is dedicated to giving students as much financial and practical support as possible.

City of Westminster College’s Head of Learner Services Ita Leavy says: “We want to reassure students and potential students that the College is committed to ensuring a smooth introduction of the new bursary system, assisting students access funds they are entitled to. We’d also like to remind students that our Information and Advice Centre team can provide confidential advice about a wide range of areas, including fees, funding, childcare and welfare/housing issues.”

City of Westminster College Information and Advice Centre is located at Paddington Green Campus, Paddington Green, London W2 1NB. Opening hours are Monday, Thursday and Friday 9.30am-4.30pm, and Tuesday and Wednesday 11am-6.30pm. Call 020 7723 8826 or email customer.services@cwc.ac.uk.
