Choreographer to the stars teaches Prince's Trust students new moves
Leading choreographer and dancer Kevin Adams put City of Westminster College’s Prince’s Trust Team 9 through their paces at a motivational seminar and workshop. The event took place at Paddington Arts Centre – an inspiring location for Team 9 to pick up new dance moves and get confidence and encouragement from Kevin.

The City of Westminster College students are on the Team programme, a 12-week course for unemployed 16-25 year olds that boosts confidence, motivation and workplace skills – as well as enabling students to participate in exciting team events.

Kevin described his own journey through the world of fitness and dance. Well known for his roles on the BBC (Fame Academy, Skate Nation, Jump Nation) and Disney TV (Club High School Musical: Make it Happen), he works with leading entertainers - and counts the Spice Girls, Paula Abdul and Mariah Carey among his client list. His Kevin Adams Academy in Harlow, Essex, specialises in teaching drama, singing and street dancing to children and adults.

Team 9 member Michelle Hill says: “Kevin talked to us about how he became the man he is today, describing past jobs and how he started working in the dance and music industry.  Hearing just how much he has achieved was very exciting and I really enjoyed the choreography. He was very easy to learn from – I found the whole event inspirational.”

Kevin Adams says: “I was really impressed by Prince’s Trust Team 9. I was very frank with them about my background and career – and I told them that anything is achievable with hard work and dedication. For me, the whole day was about confidence building.

“It was an amazing experience to work with this group of young people because they are being empowered by Prince’s Trust Team to be the best they can be. They are setting goals and believe in their ability to achieve them!”
