This is a City & Guilds course based on BS7671 and IET Guidance Note 3. For the Inspection and Testing of Electrical Installations.
What does the course include?
During the course you will participate in practical inspection and testing work on a variety of assessment rigs and cover the knowledge requirements required to make a meaningful attempt to satisfactory achieve success in the examination and to provide the necessary competence to undertake inspection and testing of electrical installations having due regard for your own safety and that of others.
You will be taught in a small group by an experienced lecturer in this field.
What do I need to get on to it?
It is designed for those who carry out or who wish to carry out the electrical inspection and testing of electrical installations. To provide evidence of training to recognised standard of a competent person. You will require a good knowledge of BS7671. Be an electrician or have equivalent relevant experience of working on electrical installations.
How will I be assessed?
You will be required to take an two and a half hour written examination and practical inspection and testing assessments by the end of the course. On satisfactory completion you will then receive a City and Guilds certificate.
