The Office Application route is on Monday/Wednesday from 6-9. The Digital Media route on Tuesday/Thursday 6-9.

What do I need to get on to it?

You will need both an interest and enthusiasm for using computers and their applications. You will be interviewed and given a short test to ensure that you have the aptitude for this fast-paced practical course. A level 1 course in an IT related subject would be an advantage.

You need to be competent in English; either a native English speaker or have spoken English skills to at least Level 1. This will be assessed at interview.

Where does it lead?

This is a Level 2 vocational qualification. It is suitable for those hoping to start a career that uses IT applications. You could also progress to the Level 2 Certificate for IT Users and build on the Award by gaining units in the route not taken to achieve the Award. It could also lead to a Level 2 Diploma course or a level 3 Diploma course. From there you can progress into Employment or continue to Higher Education.
