What does the course include?
Our Level 3 Course for Close Protection Officers gives you the qualification to work within the industry in the UK, however in reality offers so much more. This course is aimed at ex-Armed Force, Door Supervisors and Security Officers, as well as civilians wishing to enter the industry at the highest level.

- Threat Assessment and Risk Management
- Surveillance • Venue Security Operations
- Operational Planning
- Interpersonal Skills
- Teamwork
- Reconnaissance
- Foot Drills
- Planning and Selecting Routes
- Vehicle Movement, Tactics and Operations
- Search Techniques and Procedures
- Conflict Management Techniques
- During the training, you will also undertake Counter Terrorism training.
What do I need to get on to the course?
You need be aged 18 years or over to be eligible for this course. You will also be required to sit an initial assessment and followed by an interview to determine whether the course is suitable for you. In preparation for the interview, you may be asked to complete an essay. We will also require payment in full prior to commencement of the course.
How is the course assessed?
The course is assessed by:
- continuous practical assessment
- a written portfolio assessed internally
- a written examination
Where does the course lead?
On successful completion of the course, you will receive:
- Level 3 Close Protection Certificate
- CIEH First Aid Certificate
- CWC Counter Terrorism Certificate.
