Who is the course for?

This course is for 16-18 year olds who are interested in learning more about business admin, customer service and would like to go on work experience to build your CV for employability. The course is also designed to help you improve your English language skills.

What does the course include?

You will complete vocational units in business admin and customer service, the units include:

  • Working in business administration
  • Carrying out practical admin duties
  • Carrying out customer service activities
  • The course will also include Functional skills in:
  • Language
  • Numeracy
  • IT

You will also receive:

  • 1-2-1 Tutorials
  • Career advice.

How is the course assessed?

You will have to produce a portfolio of coursework for your vocational work this will include written, verbal and photographic evidence.

Functional skills will be assessed with an exam.

What can Learners do after completion of the course?

This course will prepare you to progress onto Courses at Level 2 in the future, depending on your achievement throughout the year or in to employment. An excellent tutor recommendation on your attendance, punctuality and behaviour is also taken into account.

What is needed to get on the course?

You will be interviewed to see if you have an interest in business admin and customer service and in wanting to develop your work experience. Learners will also need a good reference from school, connexions or employment. You will take an English and maths assessment and to get on the course the results from the assessments should be:

  • Low - Level 1
  • High - Entry 3
