Audio Production

  • Fee
  • Duration of course 6 Weeks
  • Course type Short Course
  • This course is suitable for Adults
An extension to our Introductory Studio Recording course, this programme takes students through the process of studio editing, mixing and mastering in greater detail and allows much more time for practice. After getting a grounding in digital audio, each week focuses on a different aspect and students can get to grips with the topic with prepared audio examples.

Finally, using amateur- and professionally-recorded audio stems, students will use Pro Tools or Logic Pro to produce a full mix and get feedback on the execution of their new skills.

You do not need to have completed Introduction to Studio Recording to join this course, but you should have some familiarity with the way sound is recorded and any experience with DAW software would be advantageous.

Matti Gardner studied Music Technology at Huddersfield and York Universities, collaborating and  creating interactive A/V installations, and exploring new methods of computer composition. He worked for three years as Studio Manager at the Purcell School for young musicians in Bushey and currently teaches at Trinity Laban Conservatoire, Greenwich.
