What does it include?
At the level 3 year 1 Stage competence in the following units will be assessed:

- Extending the trial balance using accounting adjustments (Skills)
- Prepare accounts for partnerships (Knowledge and Skills)
- Prepare final accounts for sole traders (Skills)
- Accounting for fixed assets (Skills)
- Principles of Cash Management (Knowledge)
- Cash Management (Skills)
- Principles of Costing (Knowledge)
- Providing Cost and Revenue Information (Skills)
- Principles of VAT (Knowledge)
- Preparing and Completing VAT returns (Skills)
- Professional Ethics in Accounting and Finance (Knowledge)
- Spreadsheet Software
What do I need to get onto it?
The usual entry requirement is to have completed the level two stage.
Where does it lead?
The course leads to level 3 year 2 of the QCF which gives full professional membership to the Association of Accounting Technicians.
